When I started posting pictures from Walt Disney World my friends started making comments like “do you live there now” “how often do you go there?” and so on. Obviously I don’t live there…hello I am Rhode Island Mom not Walt Disney World Mom!

Disney rolling out the welcome wagon for attendees! |
I now understand why it’s called Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. First of all, “conference” is just too bland to describe this full-tilt event. Part learning, part family, and 110% of Disney Parks magic makes for a wicked good time.
A celebration of meeting up with old friend and new
A celebrations of firsts with your family

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train |
Yup we got pixie-dusted with riding in the front of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train AND everyone looks great in the picture. That is a magical moment times infinity right there.
A celebration of learning during our conference sessions as attendees heard from amazing social media leaders, like Tom Smith, Director of Social Media with Disney Parks and Eva Smith (not related to Tom) from Pinterest…thanks to Eva I am looking at Pinterest with a new lens.
It’s hearing how Moms matter to brands that were kind enough to sponsor portions of the event.
I got to celebrate my inner nerd with Jonas Rivera a Producer from Pixar who has been the producer in many of my favorite Pixar films including Up! While Janice Balgemo, Director of Global Brand Marketing for Disney Infinity, gave me the inside scoop on Disney Infinity 3.0!
The event ended on Mother’s Day which was perfect.
This wasn’t a conference.
This was a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious celebration!
