It’s auto show time in Boston! I am married to a car guy, he restored his first car a 1964 Impala convertible before he could even drive (yes we still have it). We often go to auto shows as a family as they are family friendly events and gives us a change of pace in the cold winter months.
We spent last year’s auto show actively shopping for a new car. If you have a lot of cars you want to look at auto shows are the perfect one stop shopping event. Even better, you can bring the family and have everyone pile in and see if the legroom works! Typically at a car show, there are only a few prototype model cars that are off-limits for opening doors, climbing in and getting up close. It was the ability to sit in all the cars on our list that helped us narrow it down to a top two to go to a dealership and drive. In fact, it moved a car not even really on our radar to the top of the list – the Lexus IS 350 F Sport. We love it.
Fast forward to 2017 and I headed to the Boston Auto Show with She Buys Cars and Toyota to check out what’s new for 2017! What’s hot this year are hybrid cars, that have increased in luxury, technology and safety but remain easy on your wallet and at the gas pump. I really fell in love with the new Prius Prime. It was roomy enough for my family and oh so nice 133 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent) for this carpool mom! The technology fan in me also loves the 11.6-inch display and a wireless charging pad for your smartphone.
What car are you shipping for this year?
